“Healing Hot Drops ” jewelry are Raku fired clay creations crafted by the artist Theresa Reuter in collaboration with Living Design Technology®.
Raku is an ancient Japanese method for firing pottery. The pieces are fired to harden, then glazed (hand painted), and then fired again in an outdoor kiln. After reaching 1850 degrees F they are placed in a trash can full of combustibles. There they ignite before being smothered with the lid to starve them of oxygen. The temperature, humidity, and timing create many variations, and the areas that are left unglazed turn grey or black. Because of the nature of this process each of these beautiful designs are one of a kind. The image is the same but the process can create variations in the colors and the textures.
All “Healing Hot Drops” jewelry are created using our ceramic harmonizers, charged with Living Design Technology®. This jewelry line offers all of the benefits of the Living Design Technology®, while creating something beautiful and unique to wear.
